G.F. Handel Serse

July 5 – August 3, 2025

Bolesławiec, Poland

Apply now to take part in Handel’s Serse! It is one of the composer’s most popular works. The opera’s action focuses on the Persian king Xerxes, who, instead of serving as a military commander or statesman, appears at the center of a very complex love story. Handel breaks with the traditional baroque opera form, adopting a uniquely fluid storytelling which together with the many humoristic moments make this opera one of the masterpieces of the baroque era. The opera’s first aria “Ombra mai fu” features among the best known pieces of music ever written.

Applications are now open for all roles.
First deadline: February 1, 2025.
