Stage director
Bożena Bujnicka is a Polish singer and opera director.
Bożena graduated with distinction from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw where she studied on a Department of Vocal and Acting under Professor Kłosińska. She also studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She was a member of the Young Artists Programme – Opera Academy at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera and International Opera Studio IOS Zurich. As a soloist she has performed on stages in Poland, Germany, Switzerland, UK and France, including Polish National Opera and Opernhaus Zürich.
She uses her experience on stage in her work as a director. In 2017, she made her professional directorial debut at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, with a shortened version of W. A. Mozart’s The Magic Flute: About the Kingdom of Day and Night and Enchanted Instruments. The performance, very well received, entered the repertoire of this stage for the 2017/18 season. Since then, she has directed a number of chamber performances and large video productions, including Aci, Galatea e Polifemo for the Baroque Opera Festival, Jefte for the NFM (broadcast by Mezzo TV worldwide), Gold! by Evers for AMP, a multimedia show -3D mapping at the COP 24 UN Climate Summit, and others. She collaborates with the educational department of the NFM, for which she writes scripts and directs family performances. She is also a co-founder of Letmesee.productions, specializing in video productions for classical music.
